On March 30th 2017 we travelled to Westport United’s new facility to take part in the (west mayo) soccer competition.
Our first game was against Brackloon. We conceded a goal just after the whistle blew, but we got a late equaliser. The final score was 1-1.
Next we played Holy Trinity. We dominated, and were 2-0 up before half time. The second half was more even, with them getting a goal back, but we won the game, 5-1.
Our last game was against Ballycroy. They were a strong team, but the win was ours. With us topping our group, it meant that we were through to the Mayo finals.
On Thursday 6th of April, we travelled yet again to Solar21 Park (milebush).
Our first game was against Aghamore, they were a good side. And before we knew it we were 1-0 down. At half time the score was 2-0. In the second half, we didn’t concede, but it was still a disappointing result.
Our second game was against (Beacon). This was a better match for us, as we drew 1-1.
Our final game of the day was against Errew. We badly needed a win to stay in the competition, but it wasn’t our day. The final score was 6-0.
We were disappointed, but still had done very well.
